Our partnership with our Malagasy essential oil producer is invaluable. Their expertise is immense. Among other things, they produce ylang-ylang essential oil, which undergoes one of the longest distillation processes: over 20 hours! The essential oil obtained at the beginning of the distillation is the most prized in perfumery; it's called the "quintessence." Other "grades" follow: extra, first, second, and third. The complete essential oil is obtained through total distillation, without any part being removed—this is the complete ylang-ylang, which we have chosen for you.
