How to make your own laundry detergent with soap flakes
With our new "palm oil-free" soap flake formula, we recommend the following steps to make your laundry detergent:
Place a small handful or 30g of flakes in the bottom of your laundry detergent container.
Pour very hot water over the flakes to melt them (start with 1/2 liter).
Shake well.
Pour another 1/2 liter of very hot water to reach 1 liter of detergent.
Shake well.
Your laundry detergent is ready!
Some separation may occur in the detergent due to its natural formula.
Simply shake the container vigorously to mix thoroughly again. When you make your laundry detergent with our new formula Marseille soap flakes, you may notice a difference in appearance, color, or thickness (viscosity) compared to the old formula (with palm oil). This is perfectly normal, as the high-oleic sunflower oil that replaces palm oil is a fluid oil (like olive oil) and slightly darker. The quality of the detergent and its cleaning power remain unchanged. It is just as effective and even more environmentally friendly. Over time, if you prepare your detergent in advance, it will thicken. Simply add hot water and shake well to dilute it again.Practical Tips
Add a glass of white vinegar to the fabric softener compartment (it softens and descales).
To scent your laundry, add a few drops of essential oils (lavender, tea tree, citrus, etc.).
For perfectly white laundry, add a tablespoon of baking soda or a small handful of washing soda crystals.
If you wish to scent your laundry with a few drops of essential oils, wait until it has cooled.
