Discover our carefully curated selection of solid face soaps and cleansers at Salle d’ô, designed to purify, soothe and enhance your skin every day. With a focus on maintaining skin balance and protecting the environment, we have selected natural, organic and zero-waste cleansing products, suitable for every skin type (dry, combination, oily, sensitive or mature).
Why choose a solid facial cleanser or soap?
Replacing conventional cleansing gels in plastic bottles with an organic solid facial cleanser offers numerous benefits for both the health of your skin and the planet:
- Healthy, naturally derived ingredients: Formulated without harsh sulphates, parabens or endocrine disruptors, our facial cleansers contain pure plant oils, nourishing butters and concentrated botanical actives.
- Respects the skin’s pH and barrier: Thanks to cold saponification or the use of very gentle plant-based surfactants (such as Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate), our products cleanse deeply without leaving the skin feeling tight.
- Eco-friendly and zero-waste: Say goodbye to single-use plastic packaging! Our solid soaps come in recyclable or compostable cardboard cases, significantly reducing your carbon footprint.
- Cost-effective and practical: One solid cleansing bar is equivalent, on average, to 2 to 3 x 200 ml bottles of liquid gel. Compact and portable, it’s easy to take with you when travelling without the risk of leakage.
How to choose the right solid facial cleanser for your skin?
To enjoy clear, radiant and balanced skin, it’s essential to choose a cleanser tailored to your skin’s specific needs:
1. Oily and blemish-prone skin (acne, enlarged pores)
Opt for solid cleansers enriched with activated charcoal, green or black clay, and purifying essential oils (tea tree, black cumin). These help to regulate excess sebum, unclog pores and remove impurities without stripping the skin.
2. Dry, dehydrated and uncomfortable skin
Opt for a very gentle ultra-moisturising facial soap rich in shea butter, sweet almond oil or calendula macerate. These lipid-replenishing active ingredients provide the necessary nourishment right from the cleansing stage to preserve the skin’s suppleness.
3. Sensitive, reactive or redness-prone skin
Choose fragrance-free and essential oil-free formulas containing pink clay, colloidal oats or donkey’s or goat’s milk, recognised for their soothing, softening and anti-inflammatory properties.
4. Combination and normal skin
Balancing cleansers containing white or yellow clay, combined with light plant-based oils (jojoba, hazelnut), cleanse the T-zone whilst maintaining moisture in the cheeks.
How to use and store your solid facial soap?
To maximise the lifespan of your solid skincare product and enjoy its full benefits:
- Moisten your face with lukewarm water.
- Gently lather the cleanser between your clean hands or apply it directly to your wet face.
- Massage gently in circular motions, avoiding the eye area.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water.
- Storage tip: After use, always place your solid soap bar on a draining soap dish (made of loofah, perforated wood or magnetic material) so that it dries properly in the open air.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) – Solid Facial Cleansers
Isn’t a solid soap too harsh for the skin on your face?
No, provided you choose a soap specifically formulated for the face. Unlike industrial soaps, our facial cleansers are cold-processed and superfatted, which ensures they retain all their natural protective glycerine and do not dry out the skin.
Can the facial cleanser be used to remove make-up?
Although a cleanser removes impurities and light make-up residue, we recommend double cleansing: first apply a make-up remover oil or balm, then complete the cleansing process with your solid facial soap.
How long does a solid facial soap last?
With daily use (morning and evening), an 80g to 100g bar of facial cleanser generally lasts between 2 and 3 months if it is kept dry between uses.
